Released in 2018 and crafted by perfumer Dmitry Bortnikoff, this scent showcases a rich tapestry of warm spices, floral nuances, and deep, resinous oud. Mysterious Oud offers a multi-layered and luxurious experience that is as enigmatic as it is memorable.
The fragrance opens with Orange, Bergamot, Cardamom, and Amber. Firstly, orange and bergamot introduce a lively, citrusy freshness. Cardamom follows with its smooth, spicy warmth. Amber adds a touch of golden sweetness, creating an inviting and intriguing start.
At its heart, Bortnikoff Mysterious Oud reveals Castoreum, Rose, Jasmine, Myrrh, Cloves, Cinnamon, Tonka Bean, Pink Pepper, and Nutmeg. Rose and jasmine add a soft, floral elegance. Myrrh and cloves bring a rich, resinous depth, while cinnamon and nutmeg contribute a warm, spicy richness. Tonka bean introduces a hint of sweetness, and pink pepper adds a subtle, lively contrast. These heart notes come together in perfect harmony, creating a warm and multifaceted core.
The base notes of Agarwood (Oud), Indian Oud, Opoponax, Cedar, Tolu Balsam, Sandalwood, Labdanum, Lotus, and Vanilla provide a luxurious and lasting finish. Oud and Indian oud serve as the foundation, offering a smoky, exotic depth. Opoponax and labdanum enhance the resinous character, while cedar and sandalwood lend a smooth, woody backdrop. Vanilla and lotus add a soft, creamy touch, ensuring the drydown is both comforting and elegant.
